Sari silk waste is wonderful for adding shine and texture to your fiber arts projects. It is a "waste" product created from the production process of silk fabrics used to make traditional Indian Saris. It is then dyed in Italy and is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified. It is sold in half-ounce increments—a half-ounce goes a long way!
Cut bits of silk up to needle into your needle-felted paintings. Integrate sari silk into your wet felted projects by using thin layers of wool to trap the silk during the felting process. Mix sari silk with other fibers as you make an art batt. The opportunities for creativity are endless.
