This amazing mini Mohair Boucle yarn from Karmrin's Craft Cottage in the Netherlands is perfect for creating hair for Waldorf and soft body dolls. The loops naturally lend themselves to curly hair and fur. It is great for knitting and crocheting doll's wigs. Use this yarn to add soft curls to your needle-felted animals and dolls. For curly locks on an animal, you can bunch up the yarn and needle felt them in. Alternatively, you could crochet some of the yarn (so the loops are closer together), bunch up the yarn, and felt it in. I've added loose bits of this yarn with other wool simply to add texture and color when creating manes and pelts.
The looped yarn comes in 50-gram balls in a wonderful array of colors. The mini Mohair Boucle has smaller loops than the Mohair Boucle. It is made from young goat mohair fibers with approximately 30-micron thickness and an average staple length of 80 mm. Milled in Western Europe in accordance with strict dyeing standards, it is 70% Mohair, 25% Wool, and 5% Nylon. This yarn carries a certificate and complies with the norm EN71-3:2019 A1:2021. The yarns are tested at SGS Nederland B.V. in Spijkenisse, Netherlands according to strict European Regulations and are toy-safe.
The wool is dyed in batches so there can be some variation by batch.
