Passion Extra Fine Merino, One Ounce Carded Batt, Needle Felting, Wet Felting, Short Fiber Merino

This is a high-quality extra fine merino carded batt. As the fibers are short and fine (19 microns), it felts quickly for a smooth surface. It is great for jewelry and clothing items.

The fine fibers are also excellent for detailed work for two-dimensional felting. The short, fine fibers are easy to wrap around your needle and felt into your base. Because the fiber is fine, it is easier to paint details such as eyelashes, whiskers, fine lines, and varied colors in small spaces. Stretch out and twist the fiber for hair or work your way around tight areas.

For larger areas, you might want a wool with a higher micron count as needle marks are more likely to show with this fine fiber.

When needle felting, it is often easier to use a batt than roving.

You will receive one ounce. The sheep are not mulesed and the dye house is Oeko-Tex certified. Be aware this is a carded batt. It is not roving. Roving comes with all the fibers combed straight and appears like a rope of wool. This is a special introductory price.
